Midnight Yacht Club
Reciprocal Alliance Agreement
Reciprocal Alliance Agreement
Midnight Yacht Club will enter into a permanent, formal alliance agreement only after face-to-face parley with the perspective ally.
When an ally is attacked, the monarch and royals of MYC will ask the members of the flag to job with our ally. It must be understood, however, that our members may not want to job against their hearties. In all instances the member’s preference will trump the flag’s request. MYC's royalty will not job against an ally.
In the event that two direct allies are in competition for the same island, MYC will actively support the defender. If neither ally is the defender, MYC will not take sides.
MYC will seriously consider requests by our allies to borrow ships for blockades. In most cases, ships will be loaned if available. For sinking blockades, the likelihood of loaner ships will decrease drastically, but will remain possible.
Requests for the sale of stock for blockades will be considered based on MYC’s stock availability and MYC’s merchants will be asked to give allies special consideration for bulk purchase deals. Loans of stock are possible but not likely.
MYC’s personnel will be available to help our allies in blockades on an individual bases as navigators, XO’s or any other blockade job. Individual mates will decide if they want to make their services available based on their personal availability and experience.
Purposeful, unplanned PvP. by an ally is deemed unacceptable. In the event of an accidental engagement by either side, a request to disengage must be honored if the request is made before the requestor has taken a shot or made an aggressive move. It is considered incumbent on both sides to attempt to make contact. In the event that MYC’s PvP policy is ignored, MYC will retain the right to hunt the offending pirate, but will not take retribution on the pirate’s crew or flag.
If MYC is made aware of action against any ally by a non-allied flag, it will be reported to the monarch or a royal member of the allied flag.
These conditions may be modified during the required face-to-face parley.
Midnight Yacht Club will expect the same consideration from any of its formal allies.
